We are starting off the year working together, learning about classroom routines and norms. 

Sunrise and Sunset

Every Friday morning we check metservice to see what time the sun rose and what time it will set later at night. We then put of great mathematician minds together and calculate how long the sun will be in the sky for. 

Below are 3 different ways some of the children have worked out long the sun was on the sky for week 3. It rose at 6.49am and was aimed to set at 8.44pm. Check out the great thinking.
